Get to know Jackie Mennie
Being a Salesforce Marketing Champion is an esteemed honor, and one that our very own Jackie Mennie holds. She joined the inaugural class of Marketing Champions in 2020 and has remained at the forefront of the Trailblazer Community ever since. Not only has she achieved expert-level Salesforce Marketing Cloud product knowledge, but she’s also recognized for being active in the Salesforce community, being a self-starting leader, and guiding others as they blaze their own trail every single day.
That’s why we’re so excited for her to be named one of six Marketing Champions that were selected to present at the upcoming Salesforce Connections event. Jackie will be taking the stage alongside our Marketing Cloud Practice Lead, Matt Wash, to talk about achieving omni-channel personalization at scale.
We had a chance to sit down with Jackie and learn more about her involvement with Salesforce as a Marketing Champion and what you can expect during her session.
Q: Can you give us a glimpse of your journey in the Salesforce ecosystem?
Sure! The first time I logged into Salesforce was March 2014. I was part of a new team hired to build a system that allowed nurses to keep track of patient visits in areas where health services were not easily accessible. Trailhead didn’t exist yet, so we used tutorial videos and textbooks to learn the basics. I’ve spent the past 8 years primarily focused in Financial Services, which is where I jumped into Marketing Cloud which ultimately led me to my current role as a Marketing Automation Consultant.
Q: What’s the most rewarding part about being a Marketing Champion?The most rewarding part of being a Marketing Champion is getting to see the real time impact I’m making within the community. There are so many incredible career opportunities related to Salesforce that people from all walks of life have the opportunity to excel in. My favorite area is working with students who are getting ready to begin their careers and teaching them real life job skills they can apply immediately.
Q: What do you hope people take away from your session?I hope the audience leaves our session feeling empowered and energized to get back to their desks when they return home. Our goal is for each person to have takeaway they can immediately take action on to make progress, no matter where they are in their Personalization journey.
Q: What are you looking forward to most at Connections this year?I’m excited to connect with my colleagues across the world as our team unites in Chicago, and the same goes for many of the other Marketing Champions I’ve gotten to know virtually, but never in person. I also love the energy at these conferences, it’s exciting to hear the new and innovative ways people are using Salesforce.
