Horizontal is seeking an IT Support Intern – who will be responsible for assisting with support for Horizontal IT staff including but not limited to: formatting returned laptops, inventory of office equipment for redeployment and disposal, onboarding new hires with desk preparation and deployment of IT related equipment, level 1 ticket support where assistance is required.
What you’ll do:
- Assist with employee onboarding and offboarding, provisioning and deprovisioning accounts
- Assist with help desk tickets
- Maintain IT asset inventory
- Assist with user account hygiene
- Assist with security awareness training administration
- Support vulnerability management
- Help document standard operating procedures for repeatable IT tasks

What you bring:
- Pursuing or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and basic networking concepts Experience working with technology
- Interest in cybersecurity, compliance, or IT infrastructure
- Comfortable working with documentation; writing, formatting, organizing, version-tracking
- Excellent communication skills
- Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
Nice to have:
- Exposure to any of: Azure/Entra ID, Okta, MDM platforms, endpoint security tools
- Scripting basics (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for potential automation of repetitive tasks
This is an onsite position at our headquarters in St. Louis Park, MN.
Compensation: This internship pays $20.00 per hour.
