Resourcing Manager - Salesforce

Description

This position is based in Jaipur, India.

At Horizontal Digital, we hold ourselves to one key belief: You’re only as good as your worst customer experience. This mantra is what drives our digital consultancy to think beyond the easy answers and instead create websites, apps, portals and other experiences that solve customer needs for Fortune 500 companies in intuitive and empathetic ways. And we make this lofty standard a reality by fusing strategy, data, design and technology together to arrive at solutions that set the bar higher for everyone.

We use these values to fuel superior results:

Lock arms
We forge relationships that make our impact 1,000x stronger. This means working across departments and engaging both our clients and our communities to deliver the greatest good.

Show hustle
We’re not ones to sit on our hands and wait. Instead, we anticipate opportunities, collectively roll up our sleeves and find ways to execute the exceptional.

Embrace change
From new technologies to workplace philosophies, we welcome the unexpected and constantly anticipate what’s next.

Elevate empathy
We listen before we take action. This means understanding a variety of perspectives and holding ourselves to a higher standard of accountability.

Never settle
We motivate each other to push past the easy answers and collectively arrive at bigger, more inspiring ideas.

But enough about us. Let’s talk about you.

As a Salesforce Resource Manager, you are a practice-focused professional responsible for driving workforce planning, allocation, and utilization across our Salesforce engagements. You will work closely with leadership to forecast demand, balance supply, and ensure the right skills are deployed at the right time. You will play a central role in aligning delivery readiness with business growth.

You will collaborate with Sales, PMO, Architects, and Delivery Leads to ensure proactive resourcing decisions, minimize bench, and maximize utilization. Your ability to analyze data, run simulations, and provide actionable insights will be key to your success.

What you’ll do:

  • Own end-to-end resource allocation across Salesforce projects, independent of project-level influence.
  • Forecast resource needs based on pipeline, delivery schedules, and skill trends.
  • Run simulations to assess impacts of slippage, scope changes, or parallel demands.
  • Track utilization, bench strength, and supply-demand gaps; provide dashboards to leadership.
  • Partner with Sales and PMO for pre-sales staffing plans, ensuring early visibility of needs.
  • Collaborate with Finance to forecast revenue and margin impacts of resource movements.
  • Recommend hiring or contractor augmentation plans aligned with forecasted demand.
  • Support cross-skilling and career development initiatives by highlighting capability gaps.

What you bring:

  • 7+ years of professional experience in resource management, workforce planning, or analytics within consulting or IT services.
  • Experience managing multi-shore resourcing models (onsite + offshore).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or equivalent tools.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce roles, skills, and delivery models (functional, technical, architects, PMO).
  • Proven ability to balance utilization, profitability, and delivery readiness in a professional services context.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, or related field (MBA preferred).

Who you are:

  • You are analytically very strong and can confidently manage workforce planning across a dynamic consulting practice.
  • You are structured, data-driven, and skilled at running “what-if” scenarios to inform decisions.
  • You’re a team player who works well with Sales, Delivery, and Finance to drive alignment.
  • You’re comfortable operating in fast-changing environments with shifting client priorities.
  • You demonstrate independence and objectivity in staffing decisions, free of project-level bias.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear reporting and leadership updates.
